When out riding I carry a survival kit with me. One of the items I carry is a fire starter. To be honest I have several different TESTED ways of starting a fire. Because of my internet adventures of looking up survival kits/equipment/supplies and just general how to survival stuff the one thing everyone has said is that if you are warm you do better mentally and physically. Several months ago I was handed a couple of fire starters made of cardboard egg crate and dryer lint covered in wax. Looked good but how well do they work?

Lexie Coulter Finishes On Morning Podium Again

Valcourt, Quebec, May 5, 2008  – Team Looney Tuned Exhaust (LTE) / Can-AmTM DS 450TM Women-class racer Lexie Coulter took her second podium in-a-row at the Loretta Lynn GNCC. Coulter finished second overall and second in her class. This puts her in third place in the Women class points and within striking distance of first place.

Team Epic High Roller Can Am’s Michael Roycroft finished 3rd in his debut enduro race on a Can Am DS 450x at the Thumb Pump 300 in western Victoria on Sunday 27th April. Team mate Jamie Barkla finished a respectable 7th on a stock DS 450x in the Iron man class. Michael was not alone on the podium with Darrell (Bullet) Knight finishing 1st in the 4x4 class on his stock Can Am Renegade 800x. Former Finke desert race winner Rick Beer placed second on his Can Am DS 450x in the team’s event with team mate Rob Van Vliet.

Can-Am DS 450 Rider John Natalie Wins First Pro Moto of the Year

Valcourt, Quebec, April 22, 2008  – Team Warnert / Can-AmTM racer John Natalie powered his DS 450TM ATV to a successful race win at the ATV Bluegrass Nationals at Ballance Moto X near Bowling Green, Ky. With the moto win, Natalie overcame a first-moto crash to claim sixth overall.
